The three-day meeting focused on the department's vision for workforce investment and the importance of the workforce system. Here are some of the ways we support working families. Grants available to support good jobs We're making millions available in grants, including: $15 million to support training for good jobs in critical sectors, including care, climate resiliency and hospitality $1.5 million to support policy development to expand the employment of disabled youth Investments for nursing and a better care economy We've awarded more than $78 million to support workforce training programs in 17 states and address staffing challenges nursing professionals face. Preventing falls More than 1 in 10 workplace fatalities involved falls in 2021. OSHA is taking action to keep workers safe through a new National Emphasis Program. Spotlight: working women Two new reports from our Women's Bureau shed light on the status of working women in America and some of the challenges they face. Wages restored We recovered more than $300,000 for 63 workers at a New Jersey restaurant after finding minimum wage and overtime violations.
