Police killed a zebra in Ohio after it attacked and nearly bit off its owner's arm. The Pickaway County Sheriff's Office officers were called Sunday to a rural property in Circleville, Ohio, around 5:36 p.m. They found Ronald Clifton on the ground in front of a herd of zebras. He was hemorrhaging blood below his right elbow from a bite wound. An officer placed his car between the 72-year-old victim and the herd to help tend to Clifton when he said, "a large male zebra charged my driver side door and was acting very hostile," the police report said. After the officer was able to scare off the hostile zebra with his vehicle's air horns and sirens, he and his partner were able to administer a tourniquet on Clifton's arm and get him to an ambulance. Members of the Clifton family instructed the officers not to turn their backs on the zebra because that is when it would attack. They then reiterated to put the zebra down if necessary. Unfortunately, that became the case, as the zebra remained aggressive. Clifton was taken to a hospital in Columbus, Ohio, where he was treated for his injuries. (learn more) | |

A man in Florida was arrested recently for taking an unusual stroll. Jason Smith was spotted walking down a city street while completely nude. The incident occurred at around 9 pm on March 8. Witnesses say the nude Smith walked past a business in front of numerous people during his x-rated stroll. When cops arrived, they found Smith walking down Worth Avenue with no clothes on, fully exposing his genitals to the public. Smith was arrested and charged with indecent exposure, as well as resisting an officer without violence and disorderly conduct. But while cops were trying to determine Smith's identity and why he was walking nude out in public, Smith gave officers an out of this world answer when they asked where he was from. (read more) |
