Proposed 2024 Budget Prepares AHRQ To Tackle Critical Healthcare Challenges AHRQ's proposed fiscal year 2024 budget positions the Agency to improve healthcare delivery systems by reducing fragmentation and realigning incentives that can improve the quality of care, according to the new blog post by AHRQ Director Robert Otto Valdez, Ph.D., M.H.S.A. AHRQ funding, part of the budget proposal released by the White House on March 9, would allow AHRQ to focus on improving care for racial and ethnic minorities and people who live in underserved rural communities across the country. If adopted, the budget also would improve care for patients suffering from Long COVID; help prevent errors and delays in diagnosis; increase the healthcare system's ability to mitigate the effects of climate change; enhance efforts to address opioid and multiple substance abuse disorders; and support the administration's initiative to improve maternal healthcare. | |
