Each week, we look into the details of a graph that has caught our attention. Get it in your inbox every Monday. 👧 Data from the World Economic Forum shows that the Philippines dropped two spots in the Global Gender Gap Index, from 17th place in 2020 to 19th place in 2022. 👧 The drop is mostly attributed to a decline in gender parity at the level of enrolment in primary education, with a larger share of boys than girls enroling in school. 👧 Notably, the PH is still the best performing Asian country in the index, being the only Asian country in the top 20.
