Jan 13, 2022  Spin Control  Image Source: Fox News As moderate Democrats redouble their opposition to the effort, Joe Biden is now admitting that Democrats will likely lose the struggle to drive election reform legislation through Congress.
"I don't know whether we can get this done," Biden said.
Biden also stated that he will be trying to reverse the direction these legislatures have moved for as long as he had a breath and as long as he is president and "engaged at all."
The filibuster is currently standing in the way of Democrats gaining control of federal elections.
To alter the filibuster, all Senate Democrats would have to agree. That is improbable, given recent opposition from Sinema and other moderates like West Virginia Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin.
