If it was as easy as buying whatever's hot at any given moment, you wouldn't need to create a watchlist.
But it's not. There's a constant learning process.
That's why I create my watchlist every day.
Because even when you've been watching a stock for days…
Just waiting for the right moment for your favorite pattern to play out…
Sometimes you're a little off.
Maybe you just don't read a particular stock well.
Or you're dead right on your thesis, but your timing is off.
And that's OK.
Take last week, for example.
One stock has been on my watchlist for days.
And it kept doing exactly what I wanted it to do … just not when I wanted it to do it.
I was early again and again.
It was a tough stock for me to trade.
But I'm OK with that.
What I'm not OK with, is a lack of discipline.
There was one specific trade on that stock where I called it…
I was looking for my favorite pattern. I even alerted the price level I'd love to see taken out.
Then I jumped the gun.
A few minutes later, the stock did EXACTLY what I thought it would do at EXACTLY the price I thought it would do it.
