Wanna start trading, but worried your account size isn't big enough? No sweat. A small account doesn't mean you can't become a smart, consistent trader. It's all about having the right mindset … and patience.  A lot of new traders have the (WRONG) idea that they'll get rich quick trading penny stocks. They jump into the market fast because they figure, "I'll get rich quicker that way."  They start throwing money into stocks left and right without a specific strategy. Surprise, surprise: their results aren't consistent. These traders usually fail, then proceed to cry about how evil penny stocks are. Then the media picks up the thread, issuing warnings of how penny stocks are a menace to society. Wanna be different? My student Roland Wolf certainly did. He started trading with $4K … and recently passed the million-dollar mark.*  He wanted to create a better life for his family ... he thought trading could be part of that plan. So he dedicated himself to the process. He worked and studied hard. He developed a strategy that worked for him. For him, it wasn't about getting rich quick — it was about finding stability and consistency.  If you want to work toward consistency and building a small account, it all starts with education and observation.   Part of that is studying the past. By looking at recent runners in the stock market, you can get a better idea of how patterns play out — and be prepared for when they happen again. Like this recent supernova. I actually missed out on the trade — but several of my students reported profits.* This is an awesome example of why I teach. I want my students to be able to find their own trades. It's not just about following my alerts! Even though I didn't trade this stock, this play provides plenty of lessons for new traders.
