1115 Waiver Demonstration - Colorado Expanding the Substance Use Disorder Continuum of Care

 
 

Colorado submitted a request for an amendment of the Medicaid Section 1115 Colorado Expanding the Substance Use Disorder Continuum of Care demonstration. This amendment will incorporate three new programs into the existing Substance Use Disorder demonstration: 1) Prerelease services for adults and youth transitioning from correctional facilities; 2) Reimbursement for acute inpatient and residential stays in institutions for mental disease for individuals diagnosed with a serious mental illness or serious emotional disturbance; and 3) Continuous eligibility for children 0-3 years and 12 months of continuous coverage for individuals leaving incarceration. The federal comment period for this application will be open from April 18, 2024, through May 18, 2024.
