ICC 'not welcome' if it pushes drug war probe


Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla on Monday said the Philippine government will not bow to the International Criminal Court (ICC) if it issues warrants of arrest against certain individuals once the tribunal favors the resumption of its investigation of crimes against humanity committed during the drug war of former President Rodrigo Duterte.

PTV yet to return disallowed payments to Tulfo's 'Bitag'


Six years after the Commission on Audit (COA) questioned the controversial advertising placement deal between television network PTV Network Inc. (PTNI) and Ben Tulfo's Bitag Media Unlimited Inc. (BMUI), the state-run television network has yet to return to the government the P75.8 million in disallowed ad payments.

Fish kill hits Taal Lake anew


LUCENA CITY, Quezon, Philippines — At least 343 tons of tilapia (black carp) and "bangus" (milkfish), including fingerlings, died in another fish kill phenomenon in Taal Lake in Batangas province, authorities said on Monday.
