Palace keeping Gadon despite SC disbarment


All 15 justices of the Supreme Court have voted to revoke the license of newly appointed presidential adviser Larry Gadon. In a statement on Wednesday, the high court said it had ordered Gadon's disbarment—the most severe sanction for lawyer misconduct—for "misogynistic, sexist, abusive and repeated intemperate language."

DOH: COVID jabs still free for indigents


The Department of Health (DOH) plans to keep COVID-19 vaccines free for indigents, should the government lift the public health emergency status on the pandemic. "That's why the [certificate of product registration] is very important so that the private sector [can provide for] those who can afford to pay, and your taxes will be used for the people who cannot afford," Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa said.

ACT appeals to ILO: Stop Red-tagging


The Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) has lodged another complaint before the International Labor Organization (ILO) over the alleged Red-tagging of the Department of Education against the group. "We ask you to call on the Philippine government ... to stop the attacks and prosecute those who are behind the anti-union activities, programs and policies," the group said in a letter to the organization.
