An Army officer is speaking out after a squatter moved into her Georgia home while she was away on active duty. Lt. Col. Dahlia Daure shared last week that she is part of the U.S. Army Reserves and is stationed in Chicago but was in the process of selling her home when a squatter moved in. The squatter, Vincent Simon, told Daure he had a lease and paid $19,000 upfront for six months. Simon was served with eviction papers, and Daure would have to wait for the process to play out to get him removed from the home. However, the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office said its Uniform Unit and the DeKalb Marshals served an intruder affidavit Thursday requiring Simon to "immediately vacate an Ellenwood home in DeKalb County owned by a military officer." The civil service process was accomplished without incident, and Mr. Simon vacated the residence. (read more) |

An attorney with First Liberty Institute expressed concern to Fox News Digital about the Biden administration's latest guidance regarding religious expression in public schools. While there were some aspects of the "litmus test" guidance that the attorney praised, there are other parts that raised some red flags for religious liberties. "They don't have any case law to sort of justify why they're saying that, and I'm thinking with the current climate that we're in, there's no telling how a school district would use that language to try to deny a student the right to leave classes if the material or the activity is a violation of their religious exercise," she said. What else did she have to say? (learn more) |

According to a report that was just made public by the Department of Justice and was authored by special counsel John Durham, the Federal Bureau of Investigation closed at least four criminal investigations into Hillary Clinton and the Clintons' nonprofit foundation prior to the election for president in 2016, at the request of the agency's top officials who have close ties to the Clinton family. The explosive 316-page report revealed that one of the investigations was initiated in late 2014, far before Clinton formally declared her run for president. (read more) | |

Recently, streaming stock prices could be performing better. While the corporations continued to gain tens of millions of new subscribers, many of these stocks were screaming upward for a while. But now, this group is having financial difficulties. As a result, many investors now view this category of stocks as high-reward investments. Here is the issue. Many streaming companies are making losses. This is because both creating content and constructing a platform that will be used by millions of users simultaneously are expensive—additionally, scaling that globally is challenging. During bull markets, nobody cares about the losses. Instead, they care about streaming hours and paying subscribers. However, when the economy and stock markets come under pressure, these businesses come under more scrutiny. (read more) |
