A Bradenton, Florida, convicted felon allegedly shot and killed a man in self-defense on Sunday after a man approached him wielding a machete. Bradenton Police Department officers responded to a reported shooting on Sunday, and when they arrived, they found a man suffering from two gunshot wounds. The victim, who has not been named by police, was transported to an area hospital and later pronounced dead. Investigators attempted to locate Bruce Brooks, who fled the scene after shooting the man, though police said he was not a suspect. However, because Brooks is a convicted felon, he is prohibited from possessing a firearm. Ultimately, he was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. (read more) |

It's not unusual for a bride to request a refund after receiving her wedding photos. If the pictures took too long to come in, or if they were genuinely low-quality, one could somewhat understand the request. But one bride recently surprised a photographer when she requested a refund for her wedding photos after four years. When receiving the refund request for the wedding that was shot in 2019, the photographer took to the internet to share his surprise and disgust. "I swear my life is a movie…you can't make this stuff up," Lance Romeo, the photographer shared on Twitter as he posted screenshots of the request. The bride's reasoning for the refund request was she and her husband recently divorced and she doesn't "need them anymore."
