This was going to be reserved only for Fred's "Inner Circle" but I couldn't resist the opportunity to let you guys play along. After all, it always helps me to know which politicians you're crushing on versus those you'd like to crush. Ultimately, we all win. Here's how it works: I've taken 26 of the top Republicans in the nation and lined them up for you to decide if they deserve a lump of coal or a candy cane.
Right now, the results are hidden, but later on this week, I'll give you a full "report card" for the GOP and let you know who got the most candy canes and who got the most lumps of coal. The lineup is random for each viewer, so don't read too much into the order they are displayed. None of the contenders is a required question, meaning you can punish or reward those you want to and just skip over the rest if you want. What are you waiting for? Get busy handing out your coals and candy canes. I can't wait to see how this one plays out... (read more)

The clause renaming the San Francisco Federal Building the "Speaker Nancy Pelosi Federal Building" is tucked away 610 pages into the 4,155-page long $1.7 trillion omnibus package. In addition to Pelosi's district offices, the facility currently houses office space for five different federal agencies. (read more)
