The two voting rights initiatives are in jeopardy after Democratic Senators Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona and Joe Manchin of West Virginia reaffirmed their opposition to repealing the filibuster rule on Thursday. Some members are criticizing Schumer for his apparent lack of Senate leadership. The missed deadline came at the end of a difficult day for Schumer and fellow Democrats. It's clear that these bills aren't going to get passed. And this epic failure highlights how badly Democrats are governing our nation.
