Today, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released the Basic Health Program (BHP); Revised Federal Funding Methodologies for Program Years 2020 and 2021 and Operational Questions & Answers informational bulletin that provides updated values for factors needed to calculate the federal BHP payment rates for 2020 and 2021, as a result of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARP).

Both New York and Minnesota will receive an increase in their federal BHP payments for both 2020 and 2021 as a result of the changes to the BHP payment methodologies required by ARP.
