Well, Good Morning!
Let's take a look at what the day has in store for us.
So, let's dig in, shall we?
Here's What You Need To Know... Neurologist pleads not guilty to sexually abusing patients A neurologist pleaded not guilty Thursday to federal charges alleging he was a serial sexual abuser of women who had gone to him for help with debilitating, chronic pain. An indictment described the doctor, who specialized in rare pain syndromes, grooming patients who were dependent on him for care and prescriptions to addictive opioids, turning back rubs and hugs into gradually more invasive physical attacks and sexual demands.
If certain victims refused to engage in sex acts, he retaliated by referring them to another medical provider that would not prescribe the same combinations or quantities of narcotics, the indictment said. The pain specialist accepted patients with hard-to-treat disorders when other doctors would not. Patients said he continually researched new, innovative treatments and therapies for them.
The federal charges follow years of public complaints by Cruciani's accusers that authorities in some places weren't taking his crimes seriously, particularly in Philadelphia, where he pleaded guilty to relatively minor misdemeanor groping counts involving seven patients.
How are people responding to the release of a new social media app from Donald Trump? Earlier this week, former President Donald Trump announced a much-anticipated social media platform, called TRUTH Social. The new app is a direct response to his removal from Twitter and Facebook earlier this year. He also announced that Trump Media & Technology Group will become a publicly listed company as a result of its merger with the special acquisition company known as Digital World Acquisition Corp. Since the announcement, shares of that SPAC have soared over 70%.
According to a press release, the app is slated to launch nationally early next year, though it will be available "for invited guests" as early as next month. Trump's media company will also launch a streaming service that showcases "'non-woke' entertainment programming, news, podcasts, and more," the press release states. Though it's unclear when the subscription service will be available, it has been named TMTG+. Apparently, the ultimate goal is to compete with Amazon and Google's cloud services.
"I created TRUTH Social and TMTG to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech. We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American President has been silenced," Trump wrote in that release. "This is unacceptable. I am excited to send out my first TRUTH on TRUTH Social very soon…. Everyone asks me why doesn't someone stand up to Big Tech? Well, we will be soon!"
However, it appears there is already trouble in paradise, as the platform was apparently hacked within hours of his big announcement.
Haiti gang leader threatens to kill kidnapped missionaries The leader of the 400 Mawozo gang that police say is holding 17 members of a kidnapped missionary group is seen in a video released Thursday saying he will kill them if he doesn't get what he's demanding.
The video posted on social media shows Wilson Joseph dressed in a blue suit, carrying a blue hat and wearing a large cross around his neck. "I swear by thunder that if I don't get what I'm asking for, I will put a bullet in the heads of these Americans," he said in the video.
He also threatened Prime Minister Ariel Henry and Haiti's national police chief as he spoke in front of the open coffins that apparently held several members of his gang who were recently killed. "You guys make me cry. I cry water. But I'm going to make you guys cry blood," he said.
Earlier this week, authorities said that the gang was demanding $1 million per person, although it wasn't immediately clear that included the five children in the group, among them an 8-month-old. Sixteen Americans and one Canadian were abducted, along with their Haitian driver.

And now you can't just be this, you have to be that."
