The Ed's Up: Variants, vaccines, and giant lizards

There's a lot of confusion around the coronavirus variants and the vaccines. So, in a new piece, I've laid out 3 simple principles to help you make sense of the pandemic as it now stands. The vaccines are still beating the variants. The variants are pummelling unvaccinated people. The longer 2 continues, the less likely 1 will hold. Each has caveats and nuances, but together, they can serve as a guide to our near-term future.
