Both the House and Senate will reconvene tonight to continue the certification of Joe Biden's Electoral College win after pro-Trump rioters invaded the Capitol.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi wrote her members to tell them the House will pick its work back up and the Senate will reconvene at 8 p.m., according to a source familiar with the plans.
"Today, a shameful assault was made on our democracy. It was anointed at the highest level of government. It cannot, however, deter us from our responsibility to validate the election of Joe Biden," Pelosi wrote.
