First, you need to identify chart pattern and draw the trendline (or support/resistance line). Second, you need to sit and wait for the breakthrough. You open a trade when the price closes above or below the line. It might take several hours or several days if not weeks. You never know. But with the Trendline Trader, it is easier. Much easier! Watch this video about how to use the Trendline Trader EA and how it works: Just draw your trendline (you already downloaded Chart Patterns cheat-sheet from me) and set the TTEA with your preferred SL/TP and lot size. Once the trendlines are identified by Trendline Trader, the application will monitor the market price to detect a breakthrough and open the trade accordingly even while you sleep.
