Along with other significant national insurance companies, Farmers Insurance has restricted the number of new homeowner insurance policies in California. The cap on the total number of policies in California was implemented on July 3rd, according to Farmers, the second-largest provider of homeowners insurance in the state. The business blamed exorbitant prices and wildfire dangers. In the states most at risk from climate change, finding homeowners insurance is becoming increasingly difficult. Farmers' adjustment comes in response to decisions made by State Farm and Allstate, two of the biggest insurers in America. The businesses declared that they will stop writing new homeowner policies in the region. The decision was justified by both wildfire danger and restrictions on insurance premiums imposed by jurisdictions like California. (read more)

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is speaking up about President Joe Biden's behavior, and he doesn't have nice things to say. New reports have surfaced that claim Biden yells at staff members and has meltdowns of epic proportions. He reportedly has these episodes when alone with staff members and it is said that "no one is safe" from his temper and wrath. Charges against an Israeli-American think tank official who gave the FBI information in 2019 concerning the Biden family's financial links with China were unveiled by the Biden Justice Department on Monday. Gal Luft was charged by federal prosecutors in Manhattan with secretly working for China and seeking to assist the sale of armaments to Iran, Libya, and Qatar. After being detained earlier this year, Luft said that the Justice Department was chasing him because, in 2019, he sent the FBI and Justice Department information about the Bidens. IRS whistleblowers claim that the Justice Department is obstructing its investigation into Hunter Biden's international business transactions, and Luft is making similar claims. (read more) | |

Prospective investors have a dilemma when considering gold mining stocks. On the one hand, the market and overall economic uncertainty could fuel the fear of trade. If so, there should be a rise in demand for the underlying yellow metal. The Federal Reserve may resume-boosting interest rates, on the other hand. Higher borrowing costs don't exactly help the price of commodities. Fundamentally, although economists had anticipated higher employment statistics in the June jobs data, wage growth remained constant from May to last month. Additionally, the jobless rate decreased from 3.7% to 3.6%. Or, a stronger labor force might persuade the Fed to raise rates. Stocks linked to precious metals that are recession-proof might suffer as a result. However, investing in gold mining can make sense because, as we saw in the first quarter of 2022, gold prices might rise due to fear of instability rather than anticipation of rate increases. Precious metals make sense, given that there is a lot of uncertainty in the post-pandemic atmosphere. These are the gold stocks during the recession to take into consideration if you're concerned about a downturn. (read more) |

A horse track in Texas is making headlines for quite the unusual race. Instead of lining horses up and sending them off to the races, track officials decided to hold a grandparents race. And yep, it's just what you think it is: a bunch of grandparents racing on foot to try to beat each other to the finish line. And if that's not hilarious enough, the grandparents were even staged in the gates used for horses before the race began. As soon as the gates opened, the 25 grandparents participating were off to the races. The approximate 40-yard race on foot was a hilarious spectacle, as grandparents stumbled out of the gate and fell in their effort to win. Thankfully, the entire spectacle was caught on camera.
