Impacts of Healthcare Algorithms on Racial and Ethnic Healthcare Disparities

Day 1: March 2, 2023, 10:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. ET

Day 2: March 3, 2023, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. ET

Zoom

Please join us for a 2-day online event. Healthcare algorithms, often based on statistical or mathematical models including machine learning or other artificial intelligence approaches, can offer value in diagnostics and treatments. At the same time, algorithms can create and perpetuate inequities in healthcare. The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality and NIMHD are hosting a meeting and panel to explore the current use of algorithms, their impact on racial/ethnic disparities in care, and approaches to identify and mitigate existing biases.
