OWH Launches Two National Prize Competitions The HHS Office on Women's Health (OWH) recently announced two national prize competitions. OWH will award $3.1 million in cash prizes for innovative methods designed to advance health equity. HHS Endocrine-Disrupting Chemicals (EDC) Innovator Award Competition Endocrine-disrupting chemicals interfere with the body's hormones and may cause adverse health effects. This OWH competition will recognize programs that address knowledge gaps in understanding the risks associated with EDCs and provide solutions to reduce EDC exposure risks for Black or African American women. HHS Racial Equity in Postpartum Care Challenge Prizes will be awarded for innovative methods designed to improve postpartum care for Black or African American and American Indian/Alaska Native women enrolled in Medicaid or the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP). The emphasis will be on follow-up care for diabetes, postpartum depression and/or postpartum anxiety, hypertension, and substance use disorders (SUD). Register for OWH Informational Webinars!
