President Donald Trump signed into law a major coronavirus stimulus package along with an annual budget measure, avoiding a government shutdown before a Monday night deadline, according to two sources familiar with the matter.
Last week, Trump threatened to blow up the deal — which his own administration negotiated and indicated he would support — calling the stimulus package a disgrace and pushing for direct payments to Americans to be increased to $2,000.
