We all know that high fructose corn syrup is incredibly unhealthy, but did you know there are at least 12 ingredients out there that are far worse? The sugar substitute aspartame made that list since it has been proven to increase your risk of diabetes, as well as glucose and insulin intolerance. Aspartame is also linked to obesity and unhealthy changes in gut microbiota. Sodium nitrite also made the list, which is a food preservative that is commonly found in cured and processed meats, such as jerky and deli meat. Multiple Republican 2024 presidential candidates are scheduled to speak at a Faith and Freedom Coalition event this weekend. The event is a gathering of key evangelical leaders and is important to the GOP presidential nominee process because it has long influenced who is selected. "Anybody that's going to make it to and through Super Tuesday is going to have to be fluent in speaking to evangelical conservative voters and faithful Catholics, and there really is no plan B in Republican politics at this point," Timothy Head, executive director of the coalition explained. Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia and Elise Stefanik of New York are attempting to have former President Donald Trump's first and second impeachments dismissed, respectively. The goal of Greene's proposal is to remove Trump's first impeachment, which was brought about by allegations that he tried to pressure Ukraine into opening an inquiry into the Biden family. It refers to FD-1023, which was just made public and contains secret material from human sources accusing Joe and Hunter Biden of being associated with a purported bribery plot. The second impeachment, which was related to the Capitol violence on January 6, 2021, is currently targeted for reversal by Stefanik's resolution. In a statement, Stefanik asserted that "the American people know Democrats weaponized the power of impeachment against President Donald Trump to advance their own extreme political agenda." An unusual story is being reported out of Wisconsin: a small plane crashed into a minivan. The single-engine aircraft had just taken off from a local airport when it suddenly lost power. The pilot quickly circled around and prepared for an emergency landing. He attempted to make a landing on Knightsbridge Road, and all was well until the plane wouldn't stop quickly enough after landing. That's when the plane plowed into a minivan. Brooklyn Ferrell was best friends with Ohio teenager Natalie Martin who was murdered by her ex-boyfriend, Blake Linkous, on a senior trip to Myrtle Beach on June 6. Now she's revealing the disturbing details about what occurred the day her friend's life was taken. "At about 9 a.m., Blake came out, he had stabbed himself in the chest and everyone got up and was freaking out and asking 'Where's Natalie? Where's Natalie?'" Ferrell said. Linkous strangled Martin and then locked himself in a room with her corpse for hours. While Ferrell herself was not on the trip, she has been in close contact with Martin's mother and the teenagers who were there.
