They're calling it the "Pelosi Act" for a reason. Need proof? Just take a look at a recent Pelosi stock sale that just happened to take place just before this big tech antitrust suit. If Pelosi had been a "regular" person, she and her husband would never have gotten away with this. But since she's a member of a "permanent elite club" in Washington, she got away with it. Not just once but innumerable times. (learn more) |

On Thursday, President Joe Biden tried to criticize Trump for his handling of the economy and the national debt. Instead, he accidentally slammed himself in the process. After a long rant about the economy, during which he frequently lambasted "MAGA Republicans" for their economic outlook, Biden attempted to criticize former President Trump for the debt that grew during his administration. But Biden's slip of the tongue made it sound like he was the target of his own verbal attack. The White House posted a revised transcript of Biden's speech several hours after his address. In 2022, the technology sector's boom came to an end. Demand caused by the pandemic started to decline. Currently, tech corporations are reducing their spending and terminating people. Investors have shifted to other industries that are more stable and recession-proof, such as consumer staples stocks, as growth names are declining. Stocks of consumer staples typically perform well during imperfect markets. After all, businesses that provide food, drinks, personal care items, and other goods typically endure whatever the state of the economy. In fact, many of these defensive stocks outperformed the market in 2022 by a wide margin. This might make investors think that the moment for defensive holdings has passed. But that would be a mistake. There are still solid values in the consumer staple stocks space. (read more) |

An Uber Eats driver is making headlines after his bizarre insistence on delivering an order, no matter what the circumstances were. The Loyola Chicago-Duquesne college basketball game on Wednesday was interrupted by the driver who was looking for someone who placed an Uber Eats order and said to deliver it to the game. But instead of trying to search the crowd or the concourse area, the driver decided to stroll right onto the court during the basketball game. With 16:30 left in the second half, the driver walked onto the court holding a bag of McDonald's food. An official timeout was quickly called and the man was escorted off the court. The announcers could not believe their eyes. "Somebody came on the floor on the far side. Looking for an Uber Eats delivery or something there? He's carrying some McDonald's. I'm actually not kidding," the play-by-play announcer said. Even after being escorted off the court, the delivery driver was seen walking the concourse still looking for the intended recipient of the meal. Thankfully, the entire ordeal was caught on camera, so be sure to check out the videos if you need a laugh. (read more) |
