Happy National Women's Blood Pressure Awareness Week! 

The HHS Office on Women's Health (OWH) is excited to host National Women's Blood Pressure Awareness Week (NWBPAW) October 17-23, 2021! Throughout the week, we emphasize the importance of blood pressure control and empower women to take simple, everyday actions to improve their heart health.

The theme of NWBPAW 2021 –Healthy Pressure, Healthy You– highlights the connection between blood pressure and overall health and the importance of women maintaining healthy blood pressure levels at every age and stage of their lives. Controlling Blood Pressure"

Please join the OASH's Regional Women's Health Analysts for a panel discussion featuring three federal and regional partner programs aimed at improving blood pressure control and health outcomes among marginalized communities. 

The webinar will address a variety of topics, including the importance of monitoring blood pressure and the risks associated with elevated blood pressure during the  pregnancy and postpartum period. We will also discuss disparities in hypertension control in minority and older women, and provide general guidance and resources surrounding blood pressure control.
