MANILA, Philippines — House Speaker Martin Romualdez on Sunday vowed to "root out" unscrupulous rice traders as he assured retailers opposing a cap on the selling price of the staple that the government was willing to listen to their concerns.

Dismissed cop was given separation pay – Tolentino

Diokno wants test for free SUC tuition


Students who are attending state-run universities and colleges (SUCs) must pass a national test in order to be entitled to free tuition and other benefits, instead of enjoying these subsidies by simply getting admitted and retained by the institutions, according to Finance Secretary Benjamin Diokno.
