Image source :Canva Dead people received millions in stimulus checks thanks to the IRS If you had a loved one who passed away before January 1, 2021, there's a pretty good chance they got some of the $64,000,000 that was sent to people across 45,000 instances for their deceased dependents.    Oddly enough, the erroneous payments were all thanks to a computer error that the IRS knew about, but didn't fix. Image source: Canva North Carolina man stuck with nearly $500,000 bill after initially being told his insurance would pick up the tab A North Carolina man was recently floored by a medical bill he received that totaled $489,000.    Sean Deines was on vacation visiting family in Wyoming when he became severely ill. After a hospital visit, Deines was airlifted to Denver, Colorado for treatment since doctors in Wyoming were unable to treat his condition.    It was in Denver that Deines was diagnosed with leukemia. Deines stayed in the hospital for 28-days before he was discharged to continue treatment back home in North Carolina. That's when all of the trouble began.    While his 28-day hospital stay was covered by insurance, his flight from Denver to North Carolina was not. The nearly $500,000 bill he received for his travel did not even include the helicopter ride from Wyoming to Colorado.    So why was the flight from Colorado to North Carolina not covered by insurance?
