The Supreme Court has granted the longstanding claims of a former seafarer, ruling that employers cannot deny disability benefits even if a worker did not disclose a preexisting illness, especially if it is unrelated to injuries that he suffered while at work. The Filipino manning company and a Norwegian cruise liner are ordered to pay him compensation of at least $100,000.
