WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW TODAY: THURSDAY, AUGUST 26, 2021 Chinese fast fashion giant Shein is betting on a star-studded design competition to help boost its image. Brands and unions reached a deal to expand on the Bangladesh Accord days before the landmark safety initiative was due to expire. Jewellery designer Alexis Bittar sold his brand to Brooks Brothers in 2016. Now he's bought it back and has big plans to expand. The buy-now, pay-later firm Klarna reported a record second quarter, with gross merchandise volume growing more than 300 percent in the first half of 2021.
