Sweet, Sweet Basil

An easy Thai stir-fry and a summery pasta make the most of this beloved herb.

Sweet, Sweet Basil

If you're in no rush to say goodbye to summer, chances are you're cooking with all the basil you can find. So this weekend, consider going all in with pad krapow gai, Thai basil chicken (above), which Alexa Weibel adapted from the "Night + Market" cookbook by Kris Yenbamroong and Garrett Snyder. For more subtle basil flavor, perhaps David Tanis's shrimp pasta with corn fits the bill. And if basil's not your bag, maybe you'll love Kay Chun's dill-packed tzatziki to serve alongside grilled fish, or Yasmin Fahr's parsley-garnished skillet chicken with mushrooms and caramelized onions. You'll find those dishes and more in this weekly collection of popular New York Times Cooking recipes.
