The Supreme Court on Friday invalidated President Joe Biden's student loan debt relief plan, meaning the long-delayed proposal intended to implement a campaign trail promise will not go into effect. The justices, divided 6-3, ruled in one of two cases that the program was an unlawful exercise of presidential power because Congress had not explicitly approved it. The plan, which would have allowed eligible borrowers to cancel up to $20,000 in debt and would have cost more than $400 billion, has been blocked since the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals issued a temporary hold in October. The ruling will immediately pressure the Biden administration to find an alternative avenue to forgive student debt that could withstand legal challenges. (read more)

The Supreme Court rejected Joe Biden's student loan scheme on Friday, declaring that he overstepped his power. The judgment was 6-3, with Roberts authoring the majority opinion. As Cristina Laila previously reported, Biden canceled over $400 billion in student loans, amounting to up to $10,000 in student debt for borrowers earning $125,000 or less per year and up to $20,000 for Pell Grant recipients. Six Republican state attorneys general filed a lawsuit against Joe Biden, claiming the student debt bailout violates the separation of powers. The Supreme Court managed to mock Nancy Pelosi while overturning Biden's attempted bribe of Gen Z/Millennial votes. (read more)

The S&P 500 slipped into a bear market in early 2022 as economic uncertainty cast a shadow over Wall Street. The broad-based index regained momentum this year, climbing more than 20% from its October lows, but it remains about 8.6% below its high. Every bear market eventually ends in a new bull market, and the same outcome is all but guaranteed this time. So what? Well, the S&P 500 returned an average of 186% during the previous nine bull markets since 1970. That hints at huge gains on the horizon. Investors hoping to benefit from the next bull should take to heart this investing advice from the Oracle of Omaha, Warren Buffett. (read more) |

Police are saying one man is lucky to be alive after an incident could have killed him. It all started when Leslie Brock was pulled over by a Flagler County Sheriff's Office deputy. Brock refused to exit his vehicle when officers demanded. The officer tussled with Brock and forcefully removed him from the vehicle. Brock ended up on the ground during the altercation while he was being handcuffed by the deputy. But the observant deputy knew something wasn't right when he saw tell-tale signs of something amiss on the man's face, clothing and even the color of his spit. He quickly realized something was wrong and jumped into action. As it turns out, Brock swallowed this when deputies pulled him over, and it could have taken his life. (read more) |

Musk is realizing the gravity of what he's unleashed upon the world. | Elon Musk, the man who never stops pushing boundaries just did something astonishing… He just unleashed this new project… One that an ex-google engineer says is more powerful than the atomic bomb… And now... he's having his own "Oppenheimer moment"... Because, just like J. Robert Oppenheimer when he created the atomic bomb… …Musk is realizing the gravity of what he's unleashed upon the world. Yes, a lot of people will get rich from this new project… But I believe those who don’t prepare could soon be trapped in an economic death spiral. I believe they’ll fall behind and might never be able to catch up. Goldman Sachs economists are already warning that 300 million jobs could simply disappear. One industry insider even warned that "Nobody is safe." Millions of Americans will end up on the losing side of this paradigm shift… But you do NOT have to be one of them.
