I've been working in the trading world for more than 18 years, and I've noticed a very disturbing trend - one that seems to fly under the radars of so many readers.
Here's what happens: a new stock “expert” comes along promising huge returns for you if you sign up for their trading advisory. He cherry-picks his track record, showing you just enough winning trades to make you feel as though he knows what he's talking about.I'm a new Text block ready for your content.
Once you subscribe and give him your money (and it's usually a lot of money), you start to notice a few things:
- His full track record is loaded with losing trades that he conveniently forgot to mention.
- Every recommendation he makes comes with a long backstory that doesn't seem all-that-related to the trade.
He has a “feeling”. Or he “knows this sector”. Whatever it is, he gives you some flowery explanation as to why you should buy a particular stock purely based on his guess.
Why? Because he's not investing in those stocks himself. His money is going elsewhere. He's just trying to string you along so he can keep the sale.
I've always hated that.
