Some fun nuggets from yesterday ... THE STINGER: Tiger Woods's best shot of the night at the TGL Final came during his tee shot on the sixth hole. The G.O.A.T. gave fans a glimpse of a vintage stinger, a style of shot he popularized during the height of his golf career. The ball speed reached 176 mph, which is what Scottie Scheffler averages on tour right now. What a beautiful shot. LIKE MOTHER, LIKE DAUGHTER: The John Wooden Award favorite Sarah Strong of UConn is becoming a superstar in March. And, it looks like she takes after her mom. Strong's mother Allison Feaster played basketball for Harvard, and she made NCAA tournament history back in 1998 when her No. 16 seeded Harvard squad took down No. 1 Stanford. Her Harvard team became the first 16 seed to win in the women's NCAA tournament. No big deal. Now we'll see if Strong can lead the Huskies to a second consecutive NCAA championship. |
