Trump’s Tweets Are a Gold Mine
The President has sent everything from AI stocks to industrials in motion with a nonstop stream of Tweets, Truths, orders, and proclamations. That’s got people panicked, but there’s no need: Any of these moves can generate a Golden Setup… and a potential $620 payday. Don and Tony will explain how this Thursday

Why Swing Trading Works In This Market
by Prof. Jeffrey Bierman

Hi, TheoTraders, it’s Professor Jeffrey Bierman coming to you from the Windy City of Chicago. Folks in the paid-up TheoChat Live Trading room are getting a quick course in how to become better swing traders. (You can learn how to get $7 access to the room as part of “3TW” here.)

One of most frequent questions I get is, “Why swing trading?” I say “Why not?”

I’ve proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that this market is run by machines - algos. They determine price - humans and their puny economic data and sentiment are bit players in this world.

Swing trading is perfect for an algo-driven market because it capitalizes on predictable price movements influenced by support, resistance, and momentum indicators. (All of which were highlighted in today’s TheoChat session, by the way.)

And algos are nothing if not predictable; they buy strength and sell weakness. You can set your watch to it.

Here’s why swing trading works well:

  1. Algos Create Predictable Patterns
Automated trading systems often rely on technical levels, such as support, resistance, and channels. Swing traders can exploit these levels by using tools like the price level tool, rectangle tool, and channel tool to identify high-probability trades.

  2. Volatility is an Opportunity
High-frequency trading (HFT) and algorithmic trading increase short-term price fluctuations, making swing trading a great way to profit from these moves. (Today’s session’s focus on oscillators like RSI, MFI, and CCI helps traders time their entries and exits effectively.)

  3. Momentum Indicators Help Predict Reversals
Algo-driven markets often move quickly between overbought and oversold conditions. Indicators such as the Relative Strength Index (RSI) and Relative Momentum Index (RMI) allow swing traders to anticipate these shifts and position themselves ahead of the crowd.

  4. Short-to-Medium-Term Advantage
Unlike day trading, swing trading doesn’t require minute-to-minute attention. By using price channel indicators and commodity channel index (CCI), traders can ride short-term trends and take profits over several days or weeks.

  5. Avoiding Market Noise
Instead of getting caught in intraday algo noise, swing traders focus on multi-day price action, allowing them to sidestep irrational volatility while still capitalizing on strategic entry and exit points.

Anyone can do this - but I recommend going fore-armed with my support/resistance strategies and oscillators rundown. You can systematically take advantage of algo-driven price action while minimizing risk and maximizing profits.
