Hi there. House targets VP's bank records for impeachment trial
Once the Senate convenes as an impeachment court, House prosecutors plan to subpoena VP Sara Duterte's bank and other financial records to boost the case against her and secure a conviction.
And there they go: The 90-day campaign period for national candidates—senators and partylist reps—begins today, with the Comelec warning it will "be very strict" in enforcing campaign rules.
For allegedly inserting P241B in the bicameral version of the 2025 budget bill, House Speaker Martin Romualdez and several other lawmakers are facing graft and falsification charges at the Ombudsman.
Doubling down on his remarks that had met widespread shock and disapproval, US President Donald Trump reiterated he wants to "buy and own Gaza," and have parts of it rebuilt by other Mideast states.
The looming impeachment trial of VP Sara Duterte "is a moment for statesmanship, not subservience. The loyalty of every senator must be to the nation, not to Sara Duterte," reminds today's editorial.

Tony Labrusca: It's not easy being shirtless-ready
While every few swipes through Tony Labrusca's Instagram grid would reveal shirtless photos that highlight his toned physique, make no mistake, he said: He doesn't always look like that. What many people don't realize, the actor said, is that the camera-ready body that he shows off online takes a tremendous amount of work, discipline, and planning, which isn't really practical most of the time.
