According to experts, the murderer in Idaho may have left a "calling card" behind and "very likely" has killed before. Students from the University of Idaho Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and her boyfriend, Ethan Chapin, were stabbed to death in Moscow, Idaho, early on November 13. For the quadruple murders, Bryan Kohberger, a criminology Ph.D. candidate at the neighboring Washington State University, has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder and felony burglary. Two University of Idaho students' bodies were discovered next to an empty tan leather knife sheath, but the murder weapon has not yet been located, sparking a wave of speculation that this was not Kohberger's first murder. A juror who skipped out on court in a high-profile celebrity trial is receiving an odd punishment from a judge instead of being put behind bars for contempt. Though she could have been put in jail for 20 days, the woman known as juror 64 received mercy instead from judge Ural Glanville in the case. He instead required the woman to write a 30-page essay for her punishment. The reason juror 64 skipped out on court was to go on vacation. She even left the country for her tropical getaway to the Dominican Republic. The juror says she did not realize she was in contempt until a sheriff showed up at the airport when she flew home and arrested her. Her subject for the essay will be no other than the importance of jury service. She seemed delighted by the odd, but easy punishment. What did the juror have to say for herself? Four-year-old Athena Brownfield of Oklahoma went missing last week sparking a search after a postal worker found her 5-year-old sister wandering around alone outside of their home. Now one of Athena's caretakers is facing a first-degree murder charge. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation announced on Monday that the search has now turned into a "recovery operation" as multiple law enforcement agencies are now searching for the child's remains.
The children are related to Alysia Adams, who was arrested on two counts of child neglect. Ivon Adams has been arrested on one count of child neglect and one count of first-degree murder.
