| Several students on the University of Richmond campus claim to have seen an owl, but one professor told the local media that he had been assaulted twice. Michael Leopold, a biochemistry professor at the University of Richmond, described how it felt like a ten-pound pinecone struck the back of his skull. "I was surprised," Leopold said, regarding the first time he was attacked. "It was completely silent, which was interesting, but it was impactful. You could feel the hit." According to college biology professor Peter Smallwood, the Northern Barred Owl is a common species. The strange part, he says, is that human attacks are pretty rare. One of his thoughts about the owl is that it has been in captivity or has undergone rehabilitation and that it may be swooping at people out of annoyance because it is accustomed to being fed by humans. The U.S. Department of Agriculture will be coming to the university to capture the owl. | Vice President Kamala Harris' 23-year-old stepdaughter, Ella Emhoff, strutted down the runway in a New York Fashion Show this weekend. Emhoff signed with a modeling agency in February 2021, and has worn many high-end brands at past shows…but it's what she wasn't wearing that took center stage this time. "Growing up, I never saw myself as someone stylish, at all! Obviously, I loved fashion and cared a lot about it. But I was really into doing my own thing and being really comfortable in my own body, you know? I never saw myself as a 'fashion person,'" Emhoff had previously stated. Emhoff's green scarf "top" was securely wrapped around her neck, but that's about it. On a positive note, she didn't seem to mind the breeze.
