A postal worker who was mauled by five dogs in Putnam County, Florida, has died from her injuries. Five dogs attacked Pamela Jane Rock, 61, a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, when her truck broke down in North Florida on Sunday afternoon. The dogs allegedly attacked the victim when a neighboring resident heard her scream for help. A neighbor fired a gun into the air to scare the dogs away while others attempted to pull the dogs off the woman. The animals were seized and will be euthanized. Animal control officials had visited the dogs' home at least twice in the last three years. Additional details, including size or breed, about the dogs were not provided. (read more) |

Even after his Mar-a-Lago estate was raided by the FBI, former President Donald Trump still has a lot of political pull. He endorsed a total of 26 candidates in primaries that were decided yesterday. And every single one of them came in for a win. Mind you, a few of those 26 were some "tongue in cheek" endorsements of Democrats, but that's what makes this fun. Despite everything going on, Trump still has a sense of humor. Look at the nice things he had to say about one Democrat he endorsed who headed up the Impeachment committee and lost. (read more) |

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a well-known conservative, was swatted Friday night at her residence shortly after one in the morning. "Swatting" is the act of calling emergency services on a prank call in an effort to send a large contingent of armed police officers to a someone's address. If the police are unaware of the circumstances, it could result in an extremely risky reaction that results in a violent conflict. No word on who called in the SWAT team. (read more) |

The first half of 2022 was one of the worst starts for the S&P 500 since 1970. Many investors saw their portfolios decline by 15% or more during the first six months. On top of that, bonds – usually a safe haven for investors – also experienced a significant decline. For investors nearing retirement, there is a good lesson here. The skills required to build wealth differ from those needed to keep wealth. Just as you had a goal to build your wealth, now you need a goal and skill set to maintain it. (read more) | |

Thirty-one-year-old Lewis Hanes strangled 18-year-old Lily Sullivan to death in an effort to silence her after she refused sexual advances from him. The pair reportedly met in a night club in December of last year. Haines left Sullivan's semi-naked body in a pond as her mother waited nearby.
