Road rage is bad, and it only seems to be getting worse. I mean, who expects that they'll die over something as stupid as windshield wiper fluid? But that's exactly what happened earlier this month to Dennis Anderson while he was driving with his wife along Highway 18 in Oregon. Now he's dead, and his wife is left with nothing but misery and many questions. While no one is yet exactly sure what might have provoked the attack, his wife thinks it may have something to do with her husband turning on his wipers to clean the windshield. It may have flung some windshield wiper fluid on the killer's BMW when he did so. Here's what else we know about this senseless, tragic crime. (read more) |

On Wednesday, Jill Biden visited New Haven, Connecticut as part of a three-state tour promoting summer learning initiatives. During her visit, she stopped at an Arethusa Farm Dairy store for ice cream alongside Governor Ned Lamont (D). A man cried, "Your husband's the worst president we've ever had!" as he heckled Biden as she arrived. In response, Biden waved and shouted, "Thank you!" while the man persisted in his taunts. Of course, this would happen at an ice cream shop. What is it with the Bidens and ice cream? The heckler likely said what the majority of Americans would like to say to the first family. Groom-to-be Lewis Paterson put in the time and effort to ensure his planned proposal location was picture-perfect. He got down on bended knee in the Château de Castelnaud, which overlooks the river Dordogne in the south of France. Many Disney lovers will no doubt know this to be the setting for Beauty and the Beast, which Lewis says is partner Nicola Bolton's all-time favorite Disney classic. Unfortunately, things quickly turned from fairytale to farce after Lewis flipped open the lid of the ring box, sending the precious piece of jewelry hurtling into a pile of horse manure and hay at the side of the road. An eagle-eyed onlooker was able to help the couple spot the ring and got the proposal back on track. Paterson's bride-to-be didn't let the fumble deter her and said yes to forever. (read more) |

Dennis Anderson, 45, and Brandy Goldsbury, 46, were traveling back home from the beach on the Oregon coast around 8:30 p.m. on July 13th when the unimaginable happened. Goldsbury said there was a black BMW 3 Series that tried to pass them when Anderson sprayed wiper fluid on the windshield, noting that some of the fluid could have landed on the BMW. "I was just like, 'Ignore him, he's just having a bad day,'" Goldsbury recalled. The BMW started following Anderson and began driving close to the rear of their vehicle as though they were trying to hit it. The BMW attempted to drive Anderson off the road and Goldsbury said she told him to pull over and call 911. Anderson complied, but got out of the vehicle. That's when the BMW stopped parallel to them and opened fire on their car. Goldsbury said a good Samaritan stopped to do CPR on Anderson, not stopping until paramedics arrived, but despite the life-saving efforts, Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene. Here's what Oregon State Police know about the suspected gunman so far. (read more) |
