Michael Stenger served as the sergeant-at-arms for the Senate during the chaos that unfolded in our Capitol on January 6. He later suggested that much of what happened could be laid at the feet of people he labeled as "professional agitators." We learned today that he has been found dead. At the moment, no cause of death has been revealed for the 35-year veteran who served on the Secret Service and, before that, as a U.S. Marine. On January 6, 2021, Michael Stenger was the sergeant at arms for the US Senate. He passed away on Monday. His death's circumstances haven't been officially confirmed. The Senate is essentially guarded by the sergeant at arms. Stenger was ultimately in charge of ensuring the security of all senators and their personnel on January 6 because since he was the top law enforcement official at the Senate. After January 6th, Stenger faced harsh criticism for his poor planning, and many questioned why he and U.S. Capitol Police Chief Steve Sund didn't ask the National Guard to increase security at the Capitol. An internet video that shows police in Paris stopping traffic to help a mother duck and her ducklings cross a busy road is gaining popularity. On Instagram, a user going by the name of Alix Guy posted the video. It depicts a mother duck leading her baby ducklings toward a road. After Ghislaine Maxwell was just sentenced to 20 years in prison for aiding Jeffrey Epstein in sex trafficking, some are wondering if Prince Andrew is next on the hit list. Attorneys representing Maxwell and Epstein's victims have called on US authorities to investigate other associates involved in the scheme, including the disgraced British royal. Prince Andrew has managed to stay out of the spotlight since he was stripped of his royal duties at the end of 2019. "He should definitely be concerned, but … if he did nothing wrong, then come forward and tell the full story to the FBI, not the media," said lawyer Spencer Kuvin. Attorney Lisa Bloom, who represented a number of the victims, also wants the FBI to investigate. "Virginia Giuffre's civil case should be just the beginning. Everyone associated with Epstein and Maxwell should be carefully investigated," Bloom said. Among Prince Andrew, here is another likely suspect who could be investigated. (read more) |
