This would have been Khari Willis' fourth season in the NLF as a safety for the Indianapolis Colts. However, yesterday he announced that he will be retiring at 26. "I'd first like to thank the Indianapolis Colts organization for granting me the opportunity to compete in the National Football League the past three years. We can all agree that inflation is terrible right now. But what you might not realize is that true inflation may be a whole lot worse than current statistics can show. Thanks to a former Treasury Secretary and a longtime Democrat named Larry Summers, we're learning via a very important paper that the way that inflation is currently being measured (and has been since the Carter era) actually understates the total scope of the problem. This might just explain why the current administration and the Federal Reserve have been caught off guard and are struggling to get things back under control today. So, which two altered metrics are causing all of the trouble and how can we get a better feel for how bad things really are? (read more) |

According to a preliminary analysis from the Federal Reserve, over a million and a half Americans could lose their jobs next year, putting an end to President Joe Biden's favorite economic talking point. In a report released Wednesday, a panel of Federal Reserve economists determined that higher interest rates and other economic conditions portend bad news for the US labor market. According to the estimate, the unemployment rate in the United States will climb next year for the first time since the pandemic began. Unemployment is anticipated to rise until 2024. (read more) |

Dividend stocks provide investors with a relatively safe return. When faced with a large sum of money, a firm has numerous options. Dividends to shareholders, reinvestment in the company, and debt repayment are examples of these. An investor should look at the dividend history when looking for a dependable, dividend-paying company. Companies should have a lengthy history of paying dividends on schedule and raising them over time. The disadvantage of providing dividends is that investors may revolt if the payment is cut. Consider it a dripping faucet. Investors want to see the water flow either remain constant or grow after it starts dripping. If the flow decreases, the company's stock is likely to fall. A home being towed by a truck in Virginia created a frustrating situation for other drivers recently. The home was being towed in Richmond and was doing well on its journey until the driver had to merge onto Interstate 95. While trying to make the turn onto the interstate, the driver got stuck and the home blocked the entire intersection for quite some time. It not only blocked the busy intersection, but also became wedged under a tree and had a large branch stuck on the roof of the home. As cops arrived at the scene, the driver was finally able to maneuver the home onto the merging lane for I95 to continue its journey. But that isn't how the story ends. The driver got into trouble yet again. This time it involved the cops trying to pull the driver because of something they saw dragging from the home, and the home hitting a bridge before the driver pulled it over. (read more) |

A bride in Uzbekistan is likely questioning her choice of groom after what he did at their wedding. A video that went viral shows the couple playing a game during the wedding. The bride won the game, and the groom clearly didn't take it well. That was when, in front of all the guests, he savagely struck her in the head. Even with all the people in attendance, no one tried to defend the woman. The maid of honor and best man could be seen standing awkwardly beside the couple, unsure of how to respond. Another woman eventually approached and with help from the maid of honor, they helped the visibly upset bride walk off the stage. People on the internet are now expressing their outrage at the incident, urging the woman to leave the violent man. (read more) |
