Leaving No One Behind: Culture and Context Count in Tailoring Hepatitis Interventions

Eliminating Hepatitis Webinar

June 16 | 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. ET | Webinar

Join us for the next Moving from Hepatitis Discovery to Elimination Series webinar titled, "Leaving No One Behind: Culture and Context Count in Tailoring Hepatitis Interventions." Hosted by NIMHD as part of the NIH Moving Hepatitis Discovery to Elimination Series, researchers working directly with racial and ethnic communities that experience disparate hepatitis outcomes will present models of care and appropriately tailored interventions for addressing hepatitis health disparities.

Populations at the highest risk for acquiring or developing serious complications from hepatitis B and C viral (HBV and HCV) infection also experience structural racism, stigma, and discrimination through disparities in health care access and other barriers that may lead to lower rates of screening and treatment, and higher disease burden. Appropriately tailored interventions can ensure HBV and HCV elimination efforts include all U.S. populations.
