But, a year after the event, Democrats have done nothing to really increase security at the Capitol building. More than 130 Capitol Police officers have quit the service over a year after the attack. At this time, the Capitol Police Department is roughly 400 police officers short of its authorized strength. "It is all about politics for the Select Committee," wrote Rep.
