Jan 20, 2022  Spin Control  Image Source: Big League Politics The recent SCOTUS ruling on Biden's vaccine mandate was a mixed bag. While the court shot down the requirement for most workers, it upheld the part that mandates the coronavirus vaccine for healthcare workers.
And now, the court has refused to block a mandate that requires masks on all US flights.
Michael Seklecki, the father of an autistic child, submitted the emergency application. It claimed that he and his child were unable to comply with the federal mask mandate.
But the decision is just one among many seemingly contradictory rulings (or non-rulings) that the court has applied to the pandemic.
No vaccine mandates for most people, but anyone who works in healthcare has to get one. And you can't force schools to uphold mask requirements, but you have to wear one on a plane.
