Well, Good Morning!
Let's take a look at what the day has in store for us.
So, let's dig in, shall we?
Here's What You Need To Know... Chinese tennis star Peng Shuai seen alive and "well" after her disappearance Missing tennis star Peng Shuai reappeared in public Sunday at a youth tournament in Beijing, according to photos released by the organizer, as the ruling Communist Party tried to quell fears abroad while suppressing information in China about Peng after she accused a senior leader of sexual assault.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) said Sunday that organization leadership held a 30-minute call with Peng Shuai. Peng thanked the committee for its concern and explained she is "safe and well" in her home in Beijing and would like her privacy respected. IOC Athletes' Commission Chair Emma Terho said the committee was "relieved" to see Peng was fine and "appeared relaxed."
Peng adds to a growing number of Chinese businesspeople, activists and ordinary people who have disappeared in recent years after criticizing party figures or in crackdowns on corruption or pro-democracy and labor rights campaigns. Some reemerge weeks or months later without explanation, suggesting they are warned not to disclose they were detained or the reason.
A Christmas parade ends in tragedy when 20 people are struck by an SUV, police say It was supposed to be a joyful Sunday evening in downtown Waukesha, which is a town not far from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. A Christmas parade was winding its way through the area just after 4:30 p.m., and attendees could hear "Jingle Bells" being played by the marching band. That peace was short lived, however, when a red vehicle slammed through the crowd, killing one person and wounding dozens more, authorities say. An hour later, the police chief said that officials had apprehended their person of interest, though they cautioned residents to "avoid the downtown area for the time being."
A Facebook user actually posted a video to the platform that shows the SUV's chaotic drive down the street. A news station even reported that gunshots may have been fired.
"It just all happened so fast," one resident said after marching in the parade. "As we were walking back in between the buildings… We saw an SUV cross over, just put the pedal to the metal and just zooming full speed along the parade route. And then we heard a loud bang, and just deafening cries and screams from people who were stuck by the vehicle. And then we saw people running away or stopping crying, and there were people on the ground who looked like they'd been hit by the vehicle."
The parade, which happens each year, is known as the official mark of the holiday season, and this was the town's 125th anniversary, making the evening extra special.
The governor of the state said that he was "praying for Waukesha tonight and all the kids, families, and community members affected by this senseless act. I'm grateful for the first responders and folks who acted quickly to help, and we are in contact with local partners as we await more information."
She died from a snakebite. But the real killer was her husband When Uthra's mother found her lying motionless in their family home, they quickly rushed her to the hospital — but Uthra was already dead. A post-mortem on May 7, 2020, confirmed she'd been bitten hours earlier by a highly venomous Indian spectacled cobra. But there was so much wrong with that simple explanation.
In late 2019, Uthra's husband, Suraj Kumar, appeared to develop an obsession with snakes. He spent hours on the internet, watching YouTube videos, including episodes of "Snake Master," featuring renowned snake expert Vava Suresh. This is the same man who would testify against Kumar in court, stating that Uthra would have woken and alerted her family of the excruciating pain from the snake venom had she not been sedated by her husband.
On February 26, Kumar bought a deadly Russell's viper from a snake handler. The next day, he left the snake on the staircase of his house and asked Uthra to fetch his phone from the first floor bedroom, hoping that it would bite and kill her. However, Uthra saw the snake in time to avoid being bitten. He tried again, this time forcing the snake to bite Uthra while she was sedated, but she woke up and he was forced to take her to the hospital.
When she was released into the care of her parents from the hospital, Uthra couldn't walk. In this helpless state, her husband once again sedated her. This time, he forced a cobra to bite Uthra by stabbing its fangs into her arm repeatedly. It could've been the perfect crime — except for a few key factors.

Learn something new today! What is time dilation, and how does it work? According to Einstein's theory of relativity, the same amount of time can pass at a different rate for different people, due to their different frames of reference. This effect, known as time dilation, becomes detectable only under certain conditions, although at a low level, we're always subject to it.
