The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking feedback on how best to advance and strengthen racial equity, diversity, and inclusion in the biomedical research workforce and how to advance research to lessen health disparities and inequities. Comments are welcomed on all aspects of the biomedical workforce, including factors that present obstacles to training, mentoring, or career path; new or existing partnerships or collaborations NIH could leverage to enhance workforce diversity; and barriers inhibiting recruitment, hiring, promotion, retention, and tenure. NIH is also looking for input on significant research gaps or barriers to expanding and advancing the science of health disparities/health inequities research and proposed approaches to address them. Responses will be accepted through Friday, April 9, 2021. |
